Exterior & Interior Painting

Paint is 80% prep and 20% paint. We prep properly — clean, sand, patch, caulk, and prime — before a drop of finish goes on, so exterior coatings survive Pacific Northwest weather and interior walls look sharp for years.

A cheap paint job looks great for a season and peels in two years. We wash and scrape, repair failed caulk and rot, spot-prime bare wood, and use coatings rated for our climate. Interior work gets clean lines, protected floors and furniture, and a walkthrough before we call it done.

What's included

• Exterior wash, scrape, and repair

  Pressure wash, scrape loose paint, sand edges and repair failed siding before anything is primed.

• Caulking and rot repair before paint

  Failed caulk cut out and replaced, rot at trim, sills and transitions repaired, and bare wood spot-primed — paint is 80% prep.

• Priming and premium topcoats

  Bonding primers where they're needed and premium topcoats rated for Pacific Northwest weather.

• Interior walls, ceilings, and trim

  Clean lines on walls, ceilings and trim, with repairs to drywall and texture before paint.

• Cabinet and door refinishing

  Cabinet doors and interior doors refinished with the prep and products that hold up to daily use.

• Full surface protection and cleanup

  Floors, furniture and landscaping protected, and a clean site and a walkthrough before we call it done.

How it works

   Free advice visit

   We walk the exterior or the rooms with you, probe the trim and sills for soft spots, note where the old coating has failed and leave you a scoped range — including any rot repair the paint job will uncover.

   Colors and products

   You pick colors; we recommend the primer and topcoat system for each surface (fiber-cement, cedar, trim, cabinets, drywall) and confirm sheen before anything is ordered.

   Prep

   Wash, scrape, sand, repair, caulk and prime — most of the hours on a good paint job go here, and it is the part a low bid skips.

   Paint

   Topcoats applied in the right conditions and the right number of coats, with lines cut cleanly at trim, ceilings and transitions.

5. 5
   Walkthrough

   We walk every elevation or room with you in good light, touch up what you point to and leave labeled touch-up paint behind.

What it costs

Painting is priced by the surfaces and the condition they're in: square footage, the number of colors and coats, how much scraping and rot repair the exterior needs and how much wall repair the interior needs. Prep is where the hours go and where cheap bids cut corners.

Timeline

1. Prep

   Washing, scraping, repairs, caulk and primer; exterior prep waits for dry surfaces.

2. Paint

   Topcoats in the right weather window outside, room by room inside.

3. Cure and walkthrough

   Final coat cured, touch-ups and a walk with you. With proper prep and quality coatings, exterior paint lasts 8–12 years in our climate.
