Kitchen Remodeling

Layout changes, custom cabinets and quartz — with a complimentary 3D model.

Kitchens are where the water, gas, electrical, and finish trades all collide — which is exactly why our in-house crew shines here. We handle the plumbing rough-in, the electrical, the tile, and the cabinetry ourselves, so the trades that have to coordinate are all on the same payroll.

Every kitchen remodel starts with a complimentary 3D model so you can move the island, swap the tile, and see the light before anything is demolished. We're candid about what a wall costs to move and where the plumbing wants to go. Quartz and granite countertops are fabricated through our cabinetry shop, and we protect the rest of your home while the messy work happens.

What's included

  • Complimentary 3D design model

Every kitchen starts with a complimentary 3D model so you can move the island, swap the tile and see the light before anything is demolished.

  • Layout and load-bearing wall assessment

We tell you plainly what a wall costs to move and where the plumbing wants to go; when a bearing wall comes out, our engineers size the beam and we shore it.

  • Plumbing and electrical rough-in (in-house)

Our own plumbers and electricians run the rough-in for the new sink, appliances and lighting, so the trades that have to coordinate are on the same payroll.

  • Custom cabinetry and quartz/granite counters

Cabinets built to fit your walls and quartz or granite countertops fabricated through our cabinetry shop, templated after the cabinets are set so seams and overhangs are right.

  • Backsplash, tile, and waterproofing

Backsplash and floor tile set with full mortar coverage, and waterproofing where the sink and dishwasher live.

  • Fixtures, lighting, paint, and appliance install

Sink and faucet, under-cabinet and overhead lighting, paint and appliance installation, then a walkthrough before we call it done.

How it works

  1. 1
    Free advice visit

We measure the room, look at the plumbing, electrical and any wall you want to open, and leave you a scoped range.

  2. 2
    Complimentary 3D model

Layout, cabinets, counters, backsplash and lighting on your actual room — approved before demolition.

  3. 3
    Design, selections and permits

Cabinet drawings, countertop and tile selections, and the building, plumbing and electrical permits pulled by our office.

  4. 4
    Demolition and rough-in

The old kitchen comes out with the floor protected and the rest of the house dusted off; plumbing and electrical rough-ins are inspected before walls close.

  5. 5
    Cabinets, counters, tile and finishes

Cabinets set, counters templated and installed, tile, lighting, paint and appliances.

  6. 6
    Final walkthrough

Every door, drawer, fixture and outlet checked with you against the plan.

The same ten-step process runs every project we build — see how we work.

What it costs

The size of the room sets the base range, then finish level, layout changes and walls move it: keeping the sink, range and refrigerator where they are is the baseline, a full re-layout adds about 15%, taking out a bearing wall about 10% and a true open concept about 18%. An island with a sink or cooktop adds about 9% for the plumbing and venting under the floor.

Timeline

  1. Before demo: design and materials

3D model, selections and ordering — cabinets and quartz set the schedule, so long-lead items are ordered before anything comes out.

  2. Demolition and rough-in

The old kitchen out, walls opened, plumbing and electrical rough-ins run and inspected.

  3. Walls, floors and cabinets

    Drywall, flooring and cabinet installation.

  4. Counters, tile and fixtures

Counters templated after the cabinets are set, then fabricated and installed; backsplash tile, sink, faucet and lighting.

  5. Punch list and walkthrough

A typical kitchen runs 4–8 weeks on site once materials are in hand; our guide to a six-week kitchen remodel timeline shows the week-by-week sequence.

Permits and codes

Most kitchens need a building permit plus plumbing and electrical permits, and structural engineering when a bearing wall comes out. A new gas line for a professional range or a panel upgrade for an induction cooktop adds a utility permit.

We pull the permits, produce the beam engineering through our engineering and permitting team and schedule the rough-in and final inspections around the cabinet delivery so the room isn't sitting open waiting on an inspector.

Questions, answered

A typical kitchen runs 4–8 weeks on site once cabinets and counters are in hand; the design and ordering phase comes before that. Our kitchen remodel timeline guide walks through what six weeks looks like week by week, and because our own plumbing, electrical and tile crews are on the schedule, the rough-in and inspection stages don't wait on subcontractors.

Yes. A non-bearing wall adds about 4% in our estimate tool; a bearing wall about 10% because it needs engineering, a beam and temporary shoring, which our in-house engineers handle. Moving the sink or other plumbing across the room adds about 8%, so keeping fixtures where they are is the biggest money-saver in a kitchen.

Semi-custom cabinets with quartz counters and a tile backsplash are our standard level; Premium adds custom cabinetry, premium stone and designer lighting, and Luxury adds inset custom cabinetry, marble or natural stone and panel-ready appliances. Quartz and granite are fabricated through our cabinetry shop and templated after the cabinets are set.

Most clients stay. We set up a temporary kitchen area, protect the floors and seal off the work zone; expect the kitchen itself to be unusable from demolition until the counters are templated and installed.

Usually — a building permit plus plumbing and electrical permits, and engineering if a bearing wall comes out. We pull them and schedule the inspections.

Room size, finish level, layout changes, walls, the island and the appliance package. Our kitchen remodel cost guide breaks down each factor with current ranges by state, and the calculator prices your ZIP in about 90 seconds.
