The challenge
Getting safe, lasting beach access down a steep Puget Sound bluff is all about structure and drainage. We terraced the slope, tied continuous steel into stepped forms, and poured a concrete stair right down the grade — then finished it with a cedar handrail so the owners can walk comfortably from the yard to the shoreline.
