Redmond Theater
An unfinished Redmond basement transformed into a dedicated home movie theater — including a full floor dig-out and underpinning to win back ceiling height, a new rebar-tied structural slab, all-new framing and in-house mechanicals, and a dark, immersive theater finish with a big-screen wall, sconce lighting, and plush carpet.

The challenge
Getting true cinema comfort out of a low basement meant lowering the floor itself — hand dig-out and underpinning below the existing footings, then a new rebar-tied slab — before framing, in-house mechanicals, and the dark acoustic finish. We held egress and structure to City of Redmond / King County code and detailed the room for deep, immersive viewing.
